Ephesians 4: 11-12
February 22, 2026 - Sunday Morning Service

The Body of Christ

Eph 4:11 And he gave some,
apostles; and some, prophets; and
some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers;

Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry,
for the edifying of the body of Christ:

We are Members

Eph 5:30 For we are members of his
body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man
leave his father and mother, and shall
be joined unto his wife, and they two
shall be one flesh.

Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery:
but I speak concerning Christ and the
church.

Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one
of you in particular so love his wife
even as himself; and the wife see that
she reverence her husband.

We are Alive

Psa 139:14 I will praise thee; for
I am fearfully and wonderfully
made: marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right
well.

Psa 139:15 My substance was not hid
from thee, when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts
of the earth.

Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see my
substance, yet being unperfect; and in
thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them.

His Body is Complete

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one
Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope
of your calling;

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one
baptism,

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who
is above all, and through all, and in you
all.

A Dead Body?

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man
spoil you through philosophy and
vain deceit, after the tradition of
men, after the rudiments of the
world, and not after Christ.

A Powerful Body?

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all
the fulness of the Godhead
bodily.

Col 2:10 And ye are complete in
him, which is the head of all
principality and power:

Seeing the Body in Heaven

Eph 2:18 For through him we both
have access by one Spirit unto the
Father.

Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no
more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of
the household of God;

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief
corner stone;

Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly
framed together groweth unto an holy
temple in the Lord:

Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded
together for an habitation of God through
the Spirit.

Rev 21:14 And the wall of
the city had twelve
foundations, and in them the
names of the twelve apostles
of the Lamb.

Rev 21:12 And had a wall great
and high, and had twelve gates,
and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written thereon,
which are the names of the
twelve tribes of the children of
Israel:

The Body of Christ is True belief

Joh 2:19 Jesus answered and
said unto them, Destroy this
temple, and in three days I will
raise it up.

Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews,
Forty and six years was this
temple in building, and wilt thou
rear it up in three days?

Joh 2:21 But he spake of the
temple of his body.
